Lots of offline life going on. ;-)<\/p>\n<p>Meantime, this paper by <a href=\"http:\/\/journals.ametsoc.org\/doi\/abs\/10.1175\/BAMS-D-15-00135.1\">Hourdin et al<\/a> on climate model tuning is very interesting and harks back to the FAQ we did on climate models a few years ago (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.realclimate.org\/index.php\/archives\/2008\/11\/faq-on-climate-models\/\">Part I<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realclimate.org\/index.php\/archives\/2009\/01\/faq-on-climate-models-part-ii\/\">Part II<\/a>). Maybe it&#8217;s worth doing an update?<\/p>\n<p>Some of you might also have seen some of the discussion of record temperatures in the first half of 2016.
